About me

Hi there! It's nice to (virtually) meet you.

I am the orchestrator of OCD Isn’t Me and I’m driven by my life's mission which can be summed up in a word: people. I'm currently living in sunny Central Florida working on obtaining my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Following my formal education, I plan to specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults struggling with OCD, depression, and anxiety disorders. I'm an inducted member of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology and a Student Member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).

Additionally, I am a cheerleader for those suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and an advocator for empirically supported methods of therapeutic care.  When I was diagnosed with OCD, around the age of 8 years old, my younger self questioned “Why me?” Now I say “Why not me?” Growing up I didn’t consider my OCD diagnosis to be an opportunity, but now I see it as the potential to help, educate, and empower others. I celebrate being unapologetically individual and encourage others to feel the same in regards to their mental health.

Mental Health awareness as a whole has a special place in my heart and I hope to shed a positive light on this special community of people diagnosed across the world with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
